Segway is committed to achieving excellence in our products while ensuring outstanding performance in sustainability.

Currently, four of our products have obtained Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) certification, demonstrating compliance with the ISO 14040 and ISO 14044 international standards, along with Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) evaluation. With the authoritative certification from TÜV SÜD and a comprehensive LCA methodology covering the product’s entire life cycle, it is recognized as one of the most trusted and complete sustainability benchmarks.

We continue to refine our production processes to reduce carbon emissions, focusing on the most impactful stages. This includes increasing the use of recycled materials across our vehicles, enhancing their overall environmental profile. At Micromobility Europe 2025, we displayed widely used recyclable materials, demonstrating traceable and sustainable lifecycles to drive awareness and transparency.

Segway adheres to WEEE requirements, ensuring our full product line—including e-bikes, e-kick scooters, and e-mopeds—is recovered and recycled responsibly. This foundational commitment drives our design toward greater recyclability.

Our consistent sustainability efforts have amplified the visibility of our products within the broader environmental landscape. In December 2025, the Apex D110 and Max S90L shared e-kick scooters were honored with the Green and Sustainable Innovation and Technology Contribution Award from the Hong Kong Quality Assurance Agency (HKQAA). With this award serving as renewed validation, Segway is reinforcing its commitment to lead the industry toward a cleaner and more accountable future.

Greener Production Powered by Sustainable Energy

Segway’s rooftop solar system went live in May 2025, enabling on-site clean energy production and feeding surplus power back to the grid. From June to December, an average of 81.12% of the facility’s electricity came from renewable sources.

Beyond powering our own operations, surplus clean electricity is fed back into the local grid—directly benefiting the community and earning Green Electricity Certificates (GECs) at a rate of one per 1,000 kWh. The system generated 143 GECs from June to December 2025.

Greener Supply Chain for Responsible Ecosystem

We fully respect EU regulations on quality control and sustainability, including the EU Battery Regulation and EUDR. Our execution process strictly adheres to these standards, with third-party agencies conducting independent audits. All suppliers meet these compliance requirements.

Segway embeds green principles at the very first step of production: aligning every supply chain partner with shared sustainability goals. The Annual Supply Chain Convention, held in Q2, co-drives sustainable innovation and elevates product efficiency across the board.

We also integrates sustainability incentives into supplier annual reviews, driving partners to strengthen their actions and advance innovation in environmental, social, and governance areas.
