The Apex D110L have been launched for 10 months, as of this writing. So how is the product doing? Is it delivering on its promises? Is it evolving with user needs? Now, with real-world usage data and customer feedback in hand, we’re taking a closer look at the D110L performance and its upgrading.

95% positive feedback1 from end-users! Segway teams are still making active updating and implementing based on market feedback.

1. Optimized Operational Efficiency

The electrical architecture of the D110L has been significantly upgraded to reduce communication errors. The CAN bus communication system transfers data eight times faster than previous versions, optimizing the main control bus cable from 8-pin to 5-pin. With higher voltage and optimized FOC, the 48V platform enables more linear accelerations, while quieter and more powerful when in operation. This not only enhances the reliability of the vehicle’s electronic systems but also improves the overall efficiency and performance.

2. Exceptional Durability Resistance

The reinforced structures of D110L enhanced its overall integrity and durability. With added features for crash resistance, minor scrapes and impacts are less likely to leave noticeable dents. Besides, reinforcement plate was added to ensure additional support and stability. This represents a significant upgrade from its original settings, making Apex D110L an ideal choice for shared micro-mobility fleets that face daily wear and tear.

Now, rigorous testing has proved its reliability. It passed 1 million vertical dual fork vibration cycles and a load drop fatigue test with a 100kg load over 3,000 cycles.

3. Easy maintenance

Easy maintenance guarantees higher uptime, lower maintenance costs, and enhanced reliability. For Apex D110L, the initial version already achieved class-leading efficiency, the replacement of consumable parts such as headlights, taillights, and brake levers can be completed in under 7 minutes, while key electronic components like the dashboard and controller can be replaced in less than 10 minutes.

The Apex D110L continues to set new standards in serviceability, with our latest updates delivering significant time savings across critical components. Maintenance was made easier with several updates, especially the phone holder, dashboard assembly, stem assembly and front wheel etc., now 50%+ faster to replace compared to the initial version.

4. Delivering on our environmental promises

It is known that the D110L has been awarded the Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) Verification Statement, demonstrating its compliance with the ISO 14040 and 14044 international standards for life cycle assessment. Beyond this systemic validation, the model incorporates 41% recycled content in all metal components and 51% recycled polymers in its plastic parts, reflecting Segway’s commitment to sustainability.
